other products that I love
Some of my favorites. Some of these things you can buy at your healthy food store. Here in VT, it is sometimes harder to find some items. And some of these things (like the tahini) I buy occasionally when I just want to have the best out there...

  • Sesame Tahini: I've tried a lot and always go back to the Living Tree Community for when I really want sweet, delicious tahini. I don't buy it all the time but sometimes, I just want the best... (I think I've tried just about every product from Living Tree and I definitely have my favorites and not so favorites there... Living Tree offers wholesale purchasing as well as bulk buying - like a buying club. Their cashews are pretty damn good, too. But mostly I get nuts from the healthy food store.)
  • Honey: Vermont has some awesome honey. No doubt about it. Local is better, cheaper and environmentally more sustainable than shipping stuff to & fro. HOWEVER, another honey that I love love love is also from Living Tree Community. It tastes like butterscotch. It is very expensive and I don't get it often.
  • Another thing I like from Living Tree is their olive oil. It's pretty tasty.
  • Raw Agave: the healthy food store carries this and for Central Vermonters, the Tree of Life Purchasing Work Group can purchase this through Associated Buyers at a really great price. You can contact Peter Clark for ordering information. NOTE: Make sure the label says RAW Agave if that's what you want!
  • Raw Coconut Butter/Oil: Alissa has some good coconut butter and another one that I really like is Artisana Raw Organic Coconut Butter. I just recently saw this at Hunger Mountain Coop. You can also find it online. Nutiva also makes a very good Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.
  • Space Spray: Not a raw food but it is my favorite. I got it through Alissa Cohen.
  • I've tried carob powder, cocunut butter/oil, olive oil, green & black olives, hemp products & coconut flakes from LOTS and LOTS of places. I've got to give props to Alissa again for really carrying the best quality in these products.
  • VitaMix, Nut Milk Bags, Dehydrators: Of course Alissa sells these things. My recommendation is to do a search for the best deal. Alissa may come in cheapest but may not. See for yourself.

If you find that you like any of the products that Alissa Cohen sells (VitaMix, Nut Milk Bags, Hemp Products) or if you want to get her book/dvd, you can shop online through my little site with her and I get a little bit of money with each sale as a referral.
